HODARS meets monthly, on the second Tueaday, at the Loachapoka Community Club House at 7:00 PM CT (Location of the Syrup Soppin') The address is 6401 Stage Road (Alabama Highway 14) in Loachapoka, Alabama.

Loachapoka, Alabama is located on Alabama Highway 14 (Stage Road), seven miles west of Auburn, Alabama. Here is a link to a Google map of the meeting location. The actual address is not 6500 Stage Road, but due to slight inaccuracies of Google's address labeling, it is the only way to label the map pointer. On meeting nights, until the club repeater is installed,  visitors can reach club members on 147.30 simplex for directions to the clubhouse.

The club has a meal prior to the club meeting. The club house has a kitchen so meal preparation is easy. The meals range from burgers cooked on the grill, a chili cook-off, lasagna, and breakfast, complete with biscuits. The food is always tasty and the fellowship is a great addition to the club atmosphere. Non-members are welcome to check us out for possible membership, please let us know ahead of time so we can have enough food available.

The fee for the meal is $5.00 per person.

Being in the country, it is peaceful and quiet at the clubhouse. The only noise is the occasional freight train that comes by. There are shade trees around and a front porch for congregating and fellowship. In nice weather, club members gather and talk on the front porch before the meal and meeting begin. Members with children often bring them to the meetings. There are lots of grassy areas for them to safely run and play around the clubhouse.

SPECIAL VISITOR AT THE APRIL MEETING: W4HOD will have a special guest at the April meeting. Jim, KC4HW from the Alabama Contest Group will be visiting us. His program will be on the Alabama QSO Party.
